Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to support healthcare facilities across the Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, and Madison, WI regions. If you're mechanically inclined and enjoy solving problems, this role offers growth with a national service organization.

You will install, calibrate, test, and repair medical equipment, perform recalls and software updates, and travel regionally to client sites.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of technical, mechanical, or field service experience.
• Associate degree or technical certification required.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel regionally up to 100%.

We're hiring a Field Service Engineer I – Healthcare Technology to support healthcare facilities throughout the Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, and Madison, WI regions.

• Provide professional on-site support while traveling throughout the region

What we're looking for:

• 2–4 years of technical, mechanical, or field service experience, or
• An associate degree or technical/trade school certification with 1+ year of technical experience (internships and apprenticeships welcome)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel regionally with up to 100% travel by air and vehicle
