Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Representative to support Mass Flow Controllers and related semiconductor equipment at customer sites throughout the Bay Area. The position requires 3+ years' hands-on semiconductor experience, strong electrical and diagnostic skills, and excellent customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in semiconductor equipment support with hands-on etch and gas-delivery systems.
• Proficiency with PC-based diagnostics, software troubleshooting, and basic configuration changes.
• Strong ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical components.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and field judgment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Mass Flow Controllers and related equipment at customer sites.
• Test, modify systems, and support on-site installation activities.
• Provide sound technical decisions in the field and collaborate with Applications/Field Service teams.

Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Representative to support Mass Flow Controllers and related semiconductor equipment at customer sites throughout the Bay Area. This applications-focused position will troubleshoot equipment through Windows-based diagnostic tools, assist with testing and system modifications, and make sound technical decisions in the field. The representative will partner closely with the Applications and Field Service teams while serving as a trusted, customer-facing technical resource. This role requires flexibility to support occasional nights, weekends, or nonstandard hours.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience supporting semiconductor equipment or processes, with hands-on knowledge of etch applications and gas-delivery systems.
• Strong understanding of Mass Flow Controllers, process gases, gas identification, basic chemistry, and periodic-table concepts.
• Experience performing PC-based equipment diagnostics, software troubleshooting, and basic configuration or code modifications.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose system components; working mechanical aptitude is also required
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and basic Windows-based network diagnostics.
• Proven customer-facing experience with the communication skills, judgment, and professionalism needed to represent your company effectively in the field.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in electronics, mechatronics, robotics, optics, or a related discipline.
• Previous cleanroom, field service, or semiconductor applications-support experience.
• Experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, or qualifying Mass Flow Controllers and related process-monitoring equipment.
