Job summary

Infotree Global Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment in the Manassas, VA area. The role requires effective verbal and written communication and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

You will coordinate with customers and internal teams to minimize downtime, order and install parts, and respond to emergency service calls. Travel up to 20% domestically is expected, with training provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• HS Diploma/GED acceptable with relevant experience.
• Excellent customer interface skills required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools.
• Thorough understanding of maintenance, repair and installation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment.
• Maintains records and reports as required.
• Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions.
• Orders and installs parts.
• Responds to emergency service calls as required.
• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance.
• Performs upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed.
• Remains current on equipment/tools through training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials.
• Incumbents are responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
• Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both client and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s).

Job description

• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbal & written
• Ability to troubleshoot & read schematics
• Military candidates should be able to provide last 3 evals if interview is requested
• Shift will be on days, however, may move to cover nights, need flexibility
• Domestic travel for training and business needs
• Travel- 20% Domestic travel

• 2+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
• Excellent customer interface skills is required
• Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools
• Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required
