Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC seeks a Field Services Driver to safely transport and handle hazardous waste across multiple sites. You will assist with loading, labeling, waste sorting, and regulatory paperwork, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role includes a $7,000 sign-on bonus and starting pay at $30/hour, with overtime and overnight travel expected (~2 times per month). CDL B with Hazmat, Air Brake, and Tanker endorsements are required.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class B license.

• Tanker endorsement required.
• Employee must be clean‑shaven due to respirator requirement.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks and straight trucks safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
• Accurately label containers and complete all required hazardous waste documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with customers at each stop.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Overview

As a Field Services Driver, you will play a hands‑on role in the safe transport and handling of hazardous waste materials across multiple customer sites. This is not a sit‑behind‑the‑wheel role — our drivers are active contributors to each job from start to finish, including loading and unloading, container labeling, waste sorting, and completion of regulatory paperwork.

Pay: Pay for this role starts at $30/hour, CDL drivers with experience can earn more depending on experience.

Schedule & Travel

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week; overtime is required
• Overnight travel expected approximately 2 times per month (1–2 nights per trip)

A Day in the Life

While no two days are exactly the same, a typical day may look like this:

• Arrive at the office and collect job paperwork
• Load required supplies and equipment for the day's jobs
• Assist in cleaning and scraping the inside of and assists with removal of underground chemical storage tanks; prepares waste for proper disposal.
• Assist in demolition of contaminated buildings and land sites; operates excavation and filter press operation equipment.
• Drive to customer sites throughout the day
• Label drums, sort waste streams, and complete hazardous waste manifests at each stop
• Respond to emergency spills.
• Submit completed paperwork and assist with unloading the truck as needed

Key Responsibilities

Pay Range

A reasonable estimate of the starting base salary range for this role is $28-35/hour. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in an annual bonus plan based on company performance.
