Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA is seeking a field-enabled technician/engineer to travel to client sites, perform testing and commissioning of power protection and control systems, and generate detailed test reports. You will work under IEEE, NETA, NEMA, and NEC standards and support training of junior technicians.

The role requires a diploma or technical education with 5–7 years of related OTJ experience, or equivalent military or engineering tech background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• Trade/Tech. school with 5-7 years of proven OTJ experience in Power systems Protection and controls.
• Equivalent Military training plus proven OTJ experience in Power System Protection and controls.
• University/College 2–4-year Engineering Technology plus related Power System Protection experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job locations, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and applying pertinent technical and safety standards (IEEE, NETA, NEMA, NEC).
• Creating test reports and summaries of work completed.
• Assist in training service technicians in basic protective relay and control systems.
