Job summary

HD Fowler Company in Redmond, Oregon is seeking a full-time Service Technician to independently manage on-site service work for customers. You will perform HDPE fusion welding and maintain hydraulic equipment while contributing to branch operations.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and a willingness to travel up to 20%. Safety-focused and capable of working with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service technician in waterworks is preferred
• Valid state driver's license with clean record; ability to obtain Class A CDL later
• Ability to lift 75 lbs daily
• Willingness to travel 20% of time
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Safety certifications or ability to obtain them after hiring

Responsibilities

• Perform HDPE Fusion welding with hydraulic and non-hydraulic fusion equipment
• Maintain hydraulic equipment, pipe stands, rollers, trailers, etc.
• Perform fire hydrant repair, bacterial samples, sewer testing, and vacuum testing
• Communicate with customers and schedule your own appointments
• Read construction plans and perform material takeoff quotes
• Help ensure accurate pricing for services completed
• Write, maintain, and bill sales orders to completion
• Maintain and repair shop equipment and machines
• Support branch operations and training opportunities
