Job summary

Swanson Flo is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair valves, actuators, and process control instrumentation at customer facilities and in-house repair locations in Bolingbrook, IL. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring both mechanical skill and strong communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of process control equipment including valves, actuators, and instrumentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to read work instructions, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Strong customer-facing communication and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and willingness to travel up to a week.
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements).

Responsibilities

• Repair, assemble, and start up valves, actuators, and instrumentation at customer sites and in-house.
• Calibrate field instruments to specification.
• Troubleshoot equipment and complete repairs on-site or in-house.
• Ensure service is completed efficiently, safely, and to specifications.
• Document findings and recommendations for each service call.
