Job summary

Atlas Copco US in McDonough, GA seeks a Service Technician Trainee to join our field service team. You will perform preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, dryers, and related equipment, while maintaining safety and high customer satisfaction.

This role offers hands-on training at our Air Academy, paid training, a rotating on-call schedule, and generous benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Has a valid driver’s license and fluent in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly in industrial environments.
• Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• Can use computers to complete work orders.
• Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service and troubleshoot/repair air compressors and dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
• Pressure wash and clean equipment pads and surroundings where applicable.
• Communicate with customer and Service Manager about all services and present repair options.
• Complete service-related documentation including reports and forms.
• Attend training at the Air Academy and train with senior technicians.
• Promote safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call schedule with travel to customer locations.
• Subject to random drug testing.
