Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician Trainee to join the Northeast Service department at our Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, CT. The trainee will participate in Mazak's Field Service training program, completing both classroom and on-the-job training to install, maintain, and repair Mazak equipment. This role involves overnight travel primarily in the Newark, NJ area.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
2. Completing Mazak's Field Service training course and on-the-job training.
3. Demonstrating ability to install and maintain Mazak equipment.
4. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues on machines and accessories.
5. Testing machine operation after installation or repair.
6. Reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications.
7. Learning new machine features and accessories.
8. Using precision levels to adjust machinery bases.
9. Utilizing test equipment for troubleshooting, such as indicators, test bars, and gages.
10. Traveling as required, including overnight stays.

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma required.
• Trade school preferred.

Skills:

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with quick learning ability.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read micrometers and dial indicators.
• Proficiency with multimeters for checking voltages.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and heavier loads periodically.

The salary range for this position is $39,884 to $61,340.
