Job summary

Fike Corporation seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to act as a technical representative across Europe. You will perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, testing and repairs on explosion protection systems, while diagnosing faults and delivering on-site and remote support.

The role requires strong engineering skills, the ability to read schematics, and fluency in Swedish and English, with travel of 80–90% and a valid European driving licence.

About the Role

We are looking for a Field Service technician to join Fike and become a key technical representative at customer sites across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning, preventative and reactive maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on Fike explosion protection systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose technical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Build strong, professional customer relationships by providing exceptional technical service.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Plan and manage your own schedule, including travel, accommodation, and customer visits.
• Travel extensively, sometimes at short notice, across Sweden, the Nordics, and mainland Europe.
• Participate in an emergency call-out rota when required.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Fike SHEQ policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support service activities in other European regions when required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with a practical, customer-focused approach.

You will ideally have:

• Strong electrical, mechanical, and electronic engineering skills.
• A multi-skilled engineering background covering electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and other engineering documentation.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a strong technical aptitude.
• A calm, professional, and diplomatic approach, particularly when working under pressure.
• The ability to work independently and confidently in a variety of industrial environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical customers.
• A willingness and ability to travel extensively - approximately 80-90% of the time.
• A valid European driving licence.
• Residency in Sweden Stockholm.

Qualifications & Experience

• A qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as electrical, mechanical, electronics, automation, or a related field.
• Experienced engineers are welcome, but we are also keen to hear from recent graduates with a relevant technical degree.
• For graduates, a strong willingness to learn, passion for technology, and the ability to take responsibility and work independently are essential.
• Good working knowledge of Windows, Gmail, Word, and Excel.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• A valid European driving licence.

• Vid behov stotta serviceverksamheten i andra europeiska regioner.

Utbildning och erfarenhet
