FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN ROLE AT AGILOX NORTH AMERICA

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive Field Service Technician to enhance customer service experience. The objective is to ensure service excellence that boosts customer satisfaction, fosters retention, and enhances profitability. Field service technicians address customer requests by delivering technical service and maintenance support on-site. Their responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in the field, as well as providing technical training when required.
REPORTS TO:
Head of Service and Maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
- Tie workflow to schedule
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Respond to customer callouts and field dispatches
- Meet with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair
- Conduct routine equipment servicing out in the field
- Inspect and troubleshooting equipment failures
- Repair equipment and replacing faulty parts
- Install and testing new equipment
- Provide technical training on new equipment installations
- Complete work report
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of one year of experience in Field Service is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Automation, including PLC and software experience.
- Candidates must have a solid electrical and mechanical background.
- Technical degree or certification, ideally in mechatronics
- Great communication skills to work with customers
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
- Ability to travel (70%) locally and internationally and work according to a changing schedule. Weekends if necessary.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Good communication and training skills.
- Efficiently manages all service callouts, providing high-quality service and repairs for any job size
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to communicate well in English
