Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a remote field service technician who will install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites, primarily in West Texas.

The role emphasizes on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, call-out services and commissioning of turbomachinery and package systems. Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Strong customer service concepts and ability to meet expectations.

Responsibilities

• Use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions with guidance of experienced personnel.
• Under supervision, use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe and check for common causes of trouble with guidance and maintain equipment.
• Under supervision, perform routine installations and making adjustments to equipment.
