Job summary

Bloom Energy, a leader in solid oxide fuel cell technology, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support field service across the service district, including remote locations. The role involves traveling to multiple sites to perform service, maintenance, diagnostics, and reporting.

The candidate should have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, adherence to safety standards (OSHA/NFPA 70E), and the ability to work autonomously while communicating clearly with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic skills.
• Familiar with safety standards (OSHA & NFPA 70E).
• Able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Able to work autonomously and follow procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willing to travel across a large service district (Ohio and surrounding states).
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform shift work / on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide fuel cell service during field visit dispatches.
• Operate a service vehicle safely and maintain inventory.
• Create daily workflows from scheduled tasks and work autonomously.
• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repair, testing, and diagnostics.
• Diagnose errors and implement effective solutions with the team.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Adhere to company procedures and customer access requirements.
• Travel within the service district and support after-hours on-call duties.
