Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician to join a world-class team. This remote-based role involves traveling to multiple sites to service fuel cell systems as part of a skilled field service crew.

The FST will operate a service vehicle, perform diagnostics, maintain safety standards, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Training is provided, and candidates should be capable of 24/7 on-call work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 6 years in electrical/controls/electro-mechanical fields.
• Technical diploma, Journeyman or Electrician certification with 4+ years related experience.
• 5+ years in commercial electrical work or electrical military experience (e.g. Navy Nuclear).

Responsibilities

• Provide fuel cell service during field dispatches.
• Operate a service vehicle safely.
• Create daily workflows from scheduled tasks; work autonomously.
• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, tests and diagnostics.
• Follow company procedures and protocols.
• Diagnose errors and implement correct solutions.
• Collaborate with the technical team and share information.
• Adhere to customer access requirements and maintain inventory.
• Produce timely, detailed service reports and keep relationships with customers.
• Travel within a large Service District (Ohio and surroundings) and occasionally internationally.
