Zusammenfassung

City of Lincoln is seeking a ready-mix repairman to perform maintenance, repairs, and improvements on concrete batch plants and supporting equipment, including laying concrete, setting forms, and mechanical troubleshooting.

You will travel to remote locations, dismantle and replace parts, maintain pipe systems, weld as needed, and mentor operators to keep plants running safely and efficiently.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of gears, bearings, hydraulics and conveying systems.
• Hand tool proficiency required.
• Welding and torching skills required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects through rough terrain.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with a small team.
• Ability to operate forklifts, manlifts, and tractors.

Aufgaben

• Takes direction from the ready-mix repair manager and travels to remote locations to perform repairs with minimal supervision.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repairs gauges, valves, and regulators.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Grades, compacts, sets up, and places concrete per specifications.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment and performs necessary repairs.
• Assists plant operators in scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Contributes to a positive team culture and adheres to safety protocols (OSHA).
• Communicates with the repair foreman to understand operator needs and plant deficiencies.
