Job summary

Milton CAT Power Systems is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to deliver on-site service for power generation and electrical systems. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain engines, generators, switchgear, and related equipment at customer sites.

You’ll work independently in the field with full support from service managers, engineering, and parts teams. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance as energy technologies evolve.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with power generation, electrical systems, or engine systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting generators, engines, or power equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
• Proven ability to work independently in the field.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair power generation and electrical systems.
• Service engines, generators, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Perform maintenance, testing, and system adjustments.
• Install, repair, and support critical power systems at customer sites.
• Complete service documentation and inspection reports.
• Manage your service calls and work independently in the field.
• Respond to occasional after-hours or emergency service needs.
