Job summary

Panasonic Connect is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support for customer-specific products, installing, modifying, and repairing factory automation equipment and software at customer sites. You will collaborate with service and factory support teams to deliver reliable repairs and effective customer service.

Qualifications

• Technical degree preferred.
• Two-year technical or vocational school education, or relevant military training, required.
• Two to three years of industry experience preferred.
• Functional ability to operate a PC and appropriate software programs preferred to accomplish the duties listed above.
• Ability to travel as required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for one or more Panasonic SMT products.
• Install, modify, and repair factory automation equipment and software at customer sites.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the SMT process, machine, programming, configuration, and manufacturing processes.
• Assume onsite service project management and coordinate with customers and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot effectively and resolve repairs within 24 hours of arrival at the site.
• Provide training on system operation and maintenance to customers.
• Assist TAC by researching issues and creating service notifications.
• Prepare installation and service reports and documentation as needed.
