Job summary

Marlen International, headquartered in Riverside, MO, is seeking an energetic Field Service Technician to join our Lifecycle Services Team. This role travels to customer sites to perform installations, start-up, preventive maintenance, upgrades and on-site support, ensuring high service delivery and first-time fix rates.

You will work with mechanical, electrical and PLC systems, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with other Duravant operating companies.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics is desired.
EE, EET, EECS or Industrial Electronics degree is a plus.
Strong mechanical and electrical background required.
Solid understanding and programming of PLCs required.
Must have a valid driver’s license, a U.S. passport, and a good driving record.
Extensive travel up to 80–90%, including overnights and some weekends.

Responsibilities

Field service calls at customer sites for installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits and training.
Mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programming and servo drive configuration.
Site visits with customers to explain scope and work performed.
Dismantle machines for refurbishment or relocation.
Perform quality control tests on repaired equipment as needed.
Aim for on-time service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Cross-training with other Duravant operating companies.
