Marlen International Inc. seeks an energetic Field Service Technician to join our Lifecycle Services Team. You will conduct field service calls at customer sites for installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of complex food processing equipment, including PLCs and servo drives.

This role requires mechanical and electrical expertise, a strong problem-solving mindset, and willingness to travel up to 80–90%, with some overnight stays and weekends as needed.

This includes installations, preventative maintenance, start-up/commissioning, troubleshoot issues, and provide upgrades/modernizations.Marlen is seeking an energetic Field Service Technician to join our Lifecycle Services Team.POSITION SUMMARY:Field Service Technicians conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, technical support, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits and training servicesField Service Technicians perform mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programs and servo drive configurationField Service Technicians conduct site visit meetings with customer contacts to include explanation of job scope and work completedDismantle machines for refurbishment or relocationPerform quality control tests on repaired equipment, as neededAchieve service delivery goals including response time, first time fix and customer satisfaction ratesParticipate in cross-training and cross-functional teams with other Duravant operating companiesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics is desiredEE, EET, EECS or Industrial Electronics degree is a plusStrong mechanical and electrical background requiredSolid understanding and programming of PLCs requiredMust have a valid driver's license, a U.S. passport, and a good driving record.Experience and ability to travel extensively, up to 80 to 90%, including overnights as necessary and some weekends throughout the week away from home.
