Field Service Technician

Location: McAlester or Holdenville, Oklahoma

Provides technical support to field services and customers involved in equipment maintenance. Installs, troubleshoots problems, and overhauls equipment. Offers technical assistance to customers and serves as the area expert on field service issues and troubleshooting. Performs other tasks as needed, ensuring high customer service levels through practical technical support. Sets up, analyzes, and troubleshoots equipment, and instructs customer personnel on proper handling and operating procedures of ESP equipment. Demonstrates excellent customer relations skills and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective mechanical service on gas compression units.
• Represent the company professionally and provide outstanding customer service.
• Submit accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other paperwork daily.
• Manage inventory of parts and tools to ensure availability without excess or shrinkage.
• Diagnose engine/compressor failures efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct timely rebuilds and overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls.
• Respond to recurring problems and emergency services as needed.
• Coordinate setting up new units and conduct start-up testing.
• Perform mechanical and electrical tasks related to natural gas compressor systems.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of machines, tools, materials, and methods involved in repairing compression units.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
• Clear and informative writing skills; ability to interpret written information.
• Strong customer service skills, including needs assessment and satisfaction evaluation.
• Effective communication skills to ensure understanding of information and ideas.
• Ability to follow instructions, respond to management, and complete tasks responsibly.
• Adaptability to changing work environments and demands.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze information and develop solutions.

Skills & Abilities:

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, with 1-5+ years of related experience or equivalent education and training.
• Minimum one year in vocational/technical training or apprenticeship program.

Computer Skills: Intermediate level; daily computer use required.

Certifications & Licenses:

• Valid Driver's License required.
