Job summary

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking Field Service Technicians for the Williston Portable Power Team in Williston, ND. Responsibilities include on-site installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of natural gas and diesel generators.

Ideal candidates troubleshoot effectively, travel extensively, and maintain professional conduct while working solo in the field. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (technical cert or associate preferred), 3+ years of generator

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical cert or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience servicing natural gas and diesel generators.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of generator sets.
• Travel extensively to service region.
• Read manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Represent the company professionally while working independently in the field.

Field Service Technicians - Williston Portable Power Team - Paid Travel - Williston, ND

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to join their Williston Portable Power Team. These technicians will perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of natural gas and diesel generator sets. The ideal candidates are skilled troubleshooters, able to travel extensively, and represent the company professionally while working independently in the field.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED (technical certification or associate degree preferred)
• Minimum 3 years experience servicing natural gas and diesel generators
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
• Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment testing (drug screen, physical, etc.)
• Proficiency with hand and power tools (must supply own tools)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to read schematics and manuals
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile work schedule
• Willingness to travel extensively across the service region
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
