Job summary

NOV is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems at customer field locations. Travel to field sites is required to provide installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and technical support services.

You will train customers on safe operation and maintenance, submit reports promptly, and ensure adherence to NOV quality, procedures, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous ESP or Artificial Lift experience preferred.
• Previous Field Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ESP systems at customer field locations.
• Perform inspections, testing, calibration, software updates, and diagnostics for reliability.
• Ensure field services meet NOV quality, HSE standards, and procedures.
• Travel to customer sites to provide installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and technical support.
• Train customers on safe operation and maintenance of NOV products and systems.
• Submit service reports and records promptly; communicate project status and findings.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems and related equipment at customer field locations.
• Perform inspections, testing, calibration, software updates, hardware upgrades, and system diagnostics to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
• Ensure all field service activities are completed in accordance with NOV quality standards, operational procedures, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Travel to customer sites to provide installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and technical support services.
• Train customers on the safe, proper operation and maintenance of NOV products and systems.
• Accurately complete and submit service reports, field documentation, job summaries, and other required records in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, customers, and internal support teams regarding project status, equipment performance, and service findings.
• Identify, document, and communicate equipment failures, operational concerns, and customer feedback to the appropriate departments for corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Maintain company-issued tools, vehicles, equipment, and assets in good working condition and ensure proper care and accountability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing field observations and recommendations to enhance product performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business operations and customer requirements.
• Comply with all NOV policies, procedures, and safety standards while promoting a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in the ESP or Artificial Lift industry preferred
• Previous Field Service experience preferred.
