Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Field Service Technician – Communications to deliver on-site service and support for Stryker Communications products within an assigned territory. You will investigate, troubleshoot, repair, and resolve complex issues while delivering a high level of customer service.

The role involves working with medical technology and equipment, including video/audio integration platforms, LED surgical lights, and networking systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of installation or production line experience with Stryker Communications or 2-3 years industry experience with relevant field service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with surgeons, hospital staff, nurses and biomedical personnel
• Ability to prioritize issues.
• Computer literate.
• Functional with Microsoft Office including Excel, and Word
• Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
• Basic electronic and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of video, audio and data communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Performing field service, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and quality checks on Stryker Communications equipment at customer sites.
• Following written procedures for mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Managing service calls from initial issue through resolution and maintaining accurate technical and quality documentation.
• Partnering with Operations, R&D, and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Communicating effectively with customers and healthcare professionals, including hospital biomedical and nursing staff.
• Providing onsite training to new employees and, when needed, hospital staff on equipment and technical processes.
• Supporting post-market surveillance activities and appropriately escalating issues that may require FDA notification or MDR reporting.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies, quality systems, and required ComplianceWire training.
• Keeping leaders and team members informed of significant issues, risks, and technical challenges.
