Bobcat of North Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform in-field repairs, inspections, and maintenance on Bobcat equipment. The role requires planning repairs, pre-ordering parts, and maintaining safety, records, and customer communications.

A technical certificate and 3–5 years of field experience are preferred, and ownership of hand tools is expected. We value independent workers who can collaborate with parts staff and other technicians, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in equipment/field service repair.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• Technical school certificate or equivalent.
• Prior field service experience preferred.
• Must own hand tools.
• Clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to determine causes of failures per guidelines.

Bobcat of North Texas is a full service Bobcat Dealership. We specialize in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offers parts as well as both mobile and shop service, and a full line of concrete supplies.

Bobcat of North Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician! We offer competitive pay, over two weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment, and numerous opportunities for advancement.

Monday - Friday dayshift. Hourly rate!

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure is done following established guidelines and are completed with the cause identified.
• Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
• Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
• Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
• Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
• Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
• All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
• Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
• Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
• Clean driving history.

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl
• Exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
