Job summary

Abel Womack is seeking skilled and motivated Field Service Technicians to join our team in Lawrence, MA. You will install, maintain and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related material-handling equipment, traveling within a defined territory and working directly with customers.

This role includes a company-issued service vehicle, extensive technical training, and long-term career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus).
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service.
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks along with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment.
• Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges.
• Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training.
• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet.
• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service.
