Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company is seeking a Field Service Technician to independently repair material handling equipment in the field and restore equipment to proper operation. The role requires rigorous troubleshooting, parts coordination, and safe field practices across multiple mechanical systems.

Responsibilities include reviewing schedules, using manuals to diagnose engines, transmissions, and hydraulics, loading parts on the service truck, and documenting repairs for warranty purposes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of field service experience with material handling equipment; two years on similar brands.
• Experience on Hyster, Yale, Clark or other similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 95 pounds and operate a mechanical hoist.

Responsibilities

• Perform major field repairs to material handling equipment to customer satisfaction.
• Review work schedule, prepare parts, and comply with PPE requirements.
• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, transmissions, hydraulics, and other components using manuals/diagrams.
• Load and organize parts on service truck; use hoists and hand/power tools as needed.
• Test, recalibrate, and document repairs; complete warranty paperwork.
