What’s the role?

As a Field Service Technician, you will work with a dedicated team supporting Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC. Your responsibilities include installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of custom equipment, interacting with customers and cross-functional service groups, and supporting R&D with engineering tasks related to design, build, and testing. You will also assist in system assembly and setup during production stages.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer locations.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills with passion and dedication.
  • Learn new skills on high-tech Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), utilizing mechanical and electronic aptitude.
  • Complete administrative paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
  • Work independently in a high-pressure, innovative environment, focusing on solutions.
  • Travel 90-100% within the service area, including international travel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Do you qualify?

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • AS/BS in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, Military Technical School training, or 4 years related experience.
  • Experience with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Willing to work at least 50 hours per week, including overtime.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
  • Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting (preferred but not required).
