Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician in the United States to service Home Depot stores and nearby client sites. The role involves preventive maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, and training store associates on safe operation of skid steers, chippers, trenchers, and mini-excavators.

You will document work orders, manage parts, ensure equipment readiness, and uphold safety and inventory standards while working independently in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in maintenance or related field.
• Experience servicing construction equipment including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Ability to read and understand technical repair and parts manuals relating to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair light construction equipment at Home Depot stores and customer sites.
• Visit assigned stores to inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Document equipment status and complete maintenance/work orders.
• Inspect equipment for rental readiness, safety, and appearance standards.
• Perform minor repairs and respond to service calls.
• Order parts for maintenance and repairs and manage inventories.
• Maintain vehicle compliance and transfer equipment between locations.
• Train store associates and customers on proper equipment operation.
• Use company technology platform to document labor and parts.
