Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to maintain and repair light construction equipment across Austin-area stores and customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, document work orders, and ensure equipment readiness during service visits.

The role requires DOT safety compliance, strong communication, and ability to train store associates and customers on proper operation of equipment. Overnight travel is rare but possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must meet DOT medical certification requirements.
• Experience with maintenance of construction equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train Home Depot store associates and customers in proper operation of equipment and safety procedures.
• Maintain a fleet of rental equipment at stores or customer sites with emphasis on preventive maintenance.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all units at each store/site.
• Inspect equipment for rental readiness, safe operation, and store appearance standards.
• Respond to service calls and order parts needed for maintenance and repairs.
• Document all work performed using the company technology platform.
