Job summary

Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician in Indianapolis, IN to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel engines, cranes, hoists, and elevators. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and test equipment and perform preventive maintenance.

Prerequisites include reading electrical schematics, owning personal hand tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel to sites. TWIC card and certification preferred; outdoor work and heights are part of the role.

Qualifications

Must read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 460 vac 3 phase motors and controls.
Must own electricians hand tools, a quality electrical test meter, and safety boots.
Must have a valid driver’s license with clean record and be able to secure a TWIC card.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to travel to job sites and work at heights.

Responsibilities

Inspect lever/hand chain hoists, fall protection, and rigging for safety and standards compliance.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and proof load test equipment.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
Document service actions with reports, forms, and checklists.
Maintain stock levels and service existing accounts by priority.
