Job summary

ThermalWorks LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to support startup, commissioning and service for Thermal Works equipment across multiple U.S. locations. The role requires on-site work and 50% travel, collaborating with internal teams and local contractors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with foundational HVAC knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment. Remote support may be involved.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification is required.
• Experience in Mechanical Critical Infrastructure Service and Maintenance.
• Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
• Knowledge of hydronic systems and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Ability to read drawings at a basic level.
• Strong written and verbal communication for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage Preventative Maintenance and Service schedules.
• Perform on-site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
• Perform all preventative maintenance and service needs for clients.
• Be available to take emergency issues when on call.
• Monitor service software to ensure timely service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal departments for product development and improvement.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
• Travel up to 50% within the United States.

Field Service Technician (Multiple Locations)

Locations: DeKalb IL, Atlanta GA, Salt Lake City UT, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Austin TX (Remote) with 50% travel requirement

ThermalWorks LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team, working directly with the thermal works team as well as local contractors, focusing on Startup/Commissioning and Service for all thermal works equipment.

We are looking for someone who is a detail-oriented individual who is goal-oriented with a foundational knowledge in HVAC. This individual should have good written and verbal communication skills. The Service Technician needs to be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person can work both independently and with a team.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

• 608 EPA certification
• Experience in Mechanical Critical Infrastructure Service and Maintenance

Specific Skills/Abilities

• Base line circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components
• Knowledge of hydronic systems
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Understand refrigeration theory as well as hands‑on applied sciences
• Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
• Ability to read drawings at a basic level
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day
