Field Service Technician - Full Time - Pasadena (TX), United States

Join our Services_AME team within Services division in the United States as a Field Service Technician to help us take Pasadena EMS to the next level.

DUTIES

1. Read job cards to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability.
2. Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC).
3. Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment, noting parts identification, configuration, and condition.
4. Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including parts washers, steamers, caustic tanks, glass beaders, etc.
5. Measure for or note proper replacement parts. Correctly requisition needed items from storekeeper, as approved by supervisor.
6. Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies, including bearings, brushes, brush holders, motors, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, tachs, fans, end shields, etc.
7. Retest reassembled electro-mechanical equipment for proper output and operation.
8. Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and in a timely manner.
9. Operate specialized repair and testing equipment as needed.
10. Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear, especially eye and ear protection.
11. Lift, tighten, adjust, and/or secure heavy objects to perform work duties.
12. Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.
13. Assist other mechanics or shop personnel in skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor or shop manager.
14. Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand, perform, and retain various skill-related training, operational, and safety procedures demonstrated by supervisor.
• Completed a five-year hands-on apprenticeship.
