Green Plains Inc. is seeking a field service technician responsible for installation and service of company products, including troubleshooting on machinery in the field and during installations.

The role emphasizes safe operation and zero-energy state maintenance, with additional shop duties as needed. Responsibilities include on-site support, training of customer personnel, documentation of service records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of industrial machine maintenance.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading equipment schematics and/or diagrams.
• Extensive travel; home weekends (50%+).
• Post-secondary education in related field or 5+ years’ experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting support on customer equipment onsite or via phone/email.
• Assist with onsite new machine installations and routine or emergency service.
• Train customer operation and maintenance personnel with emphasis on safety and zero-energy state.
• Provide installation/service records and trip reports in a timely manner.
• Identify defective materials or equipment and report to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
