Job summary

Orion International is seeking a field service technician to install, modify, and repair mechanical test head equipment at customer sites in the Boise area. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and provide training and remote support as needed.

The role requires frequent travel and a competitive benefits package including 401k with a 6% match. Daytime hours, Monday–Friday, with OT opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and understand a BOM.
• Experience using manual and power tools; familiarity with OQC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair equipment at user sites.
• Coordinate technical services between customers, engineering, field service, and manufacturing.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using drawings and procedures.
• Provide on-site and remote technical assistance and customer training.
• Maintain service and Ram reports with findings, parts used, and resolutions.
• Travel frequently to customer premises and assist production when not on field service.
