Job description

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Cincinnati, OH area. Equipment commonly worked on includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail/industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position utilizes a company vehicle regionally and requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours a week. Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and paid training are provided.

Starting Pay Range: $18-$25

Our Technicians' Typical Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

1. Have strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose, repair, and complete service calls and scheduled PMs on light industrial equipment.
2. Provide excellent customer service by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on customer equipment on location.
3. Visually inspect, test, and listen to machines to locate malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or issues.
4. Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate machinery components.
5. Stay organized by scheduling repairs and PMs in similar locations on the same day when possible; maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, supplies, and daily agendas.
6. Submit daily work orders, timecards, parts orders, and all required paperwork; treat company equipment responsibly and follow PM guidelines for company vehicle use.

Additional Details:

• Travel may average up to 300 miles per day.
• Must regularly lift/move 10-50 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Hourly pay structure; includes a ½ hour reduction for start/end of day commute time.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Typically Monday-Friday; weekends and after-hours work possible with emergency pay; on-call ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
• Observe safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment properly.
• Dependability is essential: maintain excellent attendance, respond promptly to service requests, follow instructions, and maintain valid driver’s license and safe driving skills.
