As a Field Service Engineer at Agilent, you will travel to support customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy systems. Your role will involve troubleshooting, optimizing hardware and software configurations, and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering integrated solutions. This position requires organization and time management skills, adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and optimize hardware, software, and network products at customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve performance issues.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
Provide guidance on preventive maintenance to minimize disruptions.
Proactively address potential equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Complete administrative activities accurately and in a timely manner
Identify lead generating opportunities
MUST live in the Minneapolis, MN / St. Paul, MN geographic area
Travel: 40% (Core: MN, ND, SD, IA | District: ND, SD, MN, NE, IA, KS, MO, AR, Southern IL)
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in a similar role or as an end user of Gas Chromatography
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agilent products is a plus but not required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel within a multi-state region.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least May 14, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $41.27 - $64.48/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
