Job Description

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Cincinnati, OH area. Equipment includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail and industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position involves regional use of a company vehicle and requires a valid, good standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours per week. Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and paid training are provided.

Starting Pay Range: $18-$25 per hour.

Technicians' Typical Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and perform both service calls and scheduled preventive maintenance on light industrial equipment, utilizing strong mechanical aptitude.
• Provide excellent customer service through on-site maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect, test, and listen to machines to identify malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or misalignment.
• Install, clean, and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, bearings, gears, and belts.
• Organize repairs and preventive maintenance by scheduling similar jobs in the same area when possible; maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, and supplies.
• Complete daily paperwork including work orders, timecards, parts orders, and reports. Handle company equipment responsibly and follow guidelines for vehicle use.

Additional Information

• Travel may average up to 300 miles per day.
• Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Compensation is hourly, with potential adjustments for commute time; exposure to moving parts, electrical hazards, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles is possible.
• Work schedule is mainly Monday-Friday; weekend and after-hours work may be required with emergency pay rates. On-call ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
• Adhere to safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment properly.
• Dependability is essential, including excellent attendance and timely response to service requests. Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving skills, complying with all regulations.
