Job Description

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Atlanta, GA area. Equipment typically includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail or industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license as it utilizes a company vehicle regionally.

Schedule and Compensation

• Primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours per week.
• Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and paid training are provided.
• Starting pay range: $25-$30 per hour.

Technicians' Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on light industrial equipment with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Provide excellent customer service by performing on-site maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect, test, and listen to machines to identify malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or misalignment.
• Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate machinery components.
• Organize repairs and preventive maintenance in the same or nearby locations when possible; maintain accurate records and reports.
• Complete daily work orders, agendas, parts orders, and other paperwork; treat company equipment responsibly and follow guidelines.

Additional Information

• Travel up to 300 miles per day may be required.
• Regularly lift/move 10-50 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Income based on hourly pay, with possible reductions for commute time.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Work primarily Monday-Friday; weekends and after-hours work possible with additional pay; on-call until 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment responsibly.
• Dependability is essential: maintain excellent attendance, respond promptly to service requests, follow instructions, and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving skills.
