Job summary

The George E. Booth Co. is a family-owned industrial automation sales company seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to service customers in and around Evansville, IN.

The role requires traveling, on-call duties, and occasional overnight stays to support industrial process control instrumentation, gas detection and valves. Responsibilities include installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of instrumentation, read technical docs, and provide clear summaries.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing industrial process control instrumentation, gas detection and valves.
• Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays and on-call duty.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and prepare summaries in written form.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new platforms.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Start-up new units and troubleshoot industrial process control instrumentation, gas detection and valves.
• Calibrate, repair and maintain analytical devices and related equipment.
• Diagnose root causes and develop permanent solutions for customers.
• Interpret technical documentation and communicate findings clearly.
• Lead or assist in demonstrations or training as needed.
• Record field service reports, calibrations, timesheets and expenses.
• Travel to customer sites as required and work with various teams.
• Maintain safety and compliance in the work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
