Job summary

Robert Dietrick Company in the Midwest is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our Operations team. You will travel to customer sites to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install loading dock equipment, industrial doors, specialty lifts, and related gear.

This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while representing RDC professionally.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience required in industrial settings.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, disassemble and reassemble equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and effective communication in the field.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations with company vehicle.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Inspect, repair, maintain, and service loading dock equipment and related gear.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
• Install new or refurbished equipment per specifications.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
