Job summary

Michelli is seeking a Field Service Technician Level I to perform on-site calibration, minor repairs, and installation of industrial weighing equipment and control systems. You will work with a regional field service team, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and customer relations.

The role includes completing Level I training, HB-44 calibration duties, and on-site support with senior technicians, while promoting Michelli’s products and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in mechanical and electronic systems.
• Vocational training certificate, military experience, or an associate degree in industrial controls preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams; take accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety training and understand the industrial service business; demonstrate safe work practices.
• Perform all work safely, including job safety analyses and site-specific training.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including heavy-capacity test units as needed.
• Complete Michelli Level I training with on-the-job instruction and competency evaluation.
• Complete HB-44 training and perform on-site calibrations of weighing and material handling systems.
• Assist a mentor with emergency field service requests and participate in on-call duty.
• Accurately complete calibration test reports, work orders, safety docs, and daily logs.
• Maintain professional communication with customers regarding schedules and status.
• Promote Michelli’s products and services and collaborate on leads and quotes.
• Work with service coordinator/manager to meet customer expectations and productivity targets.
• Identify and report leads for contracts and major service opportunities.
• Travel with senior technicians to customer sites to provide on-site service and support.
• Collaborate with the team to meet productivity goals.
