Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a mid-level Field Service Technician Industrial Automation to support on-site project delivery, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at industrial customer facilities. The position offers a temporary contract with pay between $35 and $45 per hour, OT eligibility, benefits, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical credentials preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing, industrial automation, controls, maintenance, electrical systems, or related fields.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of industrial automation systems at customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation-related issues on production and material handling equipment.
• Assist with panel checkout, I/O verification, wiring validation, and system testing to confirm equipment performance.
• Help integrate PLC-controlled equipment, HMI, VFD, barcode/scanner, and vision systems in manufacturing environments.
• Document troubleshooting activities and ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Our client, industrial automation and control systems provider is seeking am mid-levelField Service Technician Industrial Automation to join their team. As a Field Service Technician Industrial Automation, you will be part of the Controls & Automation Services team supporting on-site project delivery, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance for industrial customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on troubleshooting skills, strong technical communication, and a safety-first mindset which will align successfully in the organization. This is a potentially contract to direct hire position.

Pay Range: $35-$45/hr DOE plus OT, benefits, career growth

What's the Job?

• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of industrial automation and control systems at customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation-related issues on production and material handling equipment to restore uptime safely and efficiently.
• Assist with panel checkout, I/O verification, wiring validation, and system testing to confirm equipment performance against project requirements.
• Help integrate PLC-controlled equipment, HMI, VFD, barcode/scanner, and vision systems as part of automation solutions for manufacturing and industrial environments.
• Document troubleshooting activities, startup reports, punch-list items, and corrective actions while maintaining compliance with customer, company, and safety requirements.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, technical certification, apprenticeship, military technical training, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, controls, maintenance, electrical systems, or related technical fields.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring drawings, including understanding panel layouts and technical documentation.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and network diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required for project support, startup, and service work.
