Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks an EMS Road Technician 2 to travel to customer sites and diagnose and repair EMS equipment, including large hydraulic excavators and heavy trucks. You will represent Sunbelt Rentals professionally, troubleshoot complex problems, and perform on-site repairs in accordance with safety standards.

The role requires 4+ years in earth-moving equipment, a valid driver's license, MACS AC training, and proficiency with tools and diagnostic software.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of Earth Moving experience preferred.
• DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) required.
• MACS or equivalent air conditioning training/certification.
• Must own and be able to use mechanic's tools safely.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Strong communication skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Service and oversee repairs to ensure proper working condition at the job site.
• Diagnose complex mechanical issues and perform onsite repairs as needed.
• Fabricate parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs.
• Understand complex electrical schematics to diagnose wiring failures.
• Understand engine, transmission, hydraulic, and emissions systems for diagnostics.
• Observe safe rigging and lifting practices for large components.
• Communicate issues with customers and supervisor to ensure satisfaction.
• Attend branch meetings and follow safety requirements.
