About the Role:

The Field Service Technician II will provide expert customer support, perform on-site installation, and handle service and repair of advanced laser and light-based medical equipment. The role requires technical proficiency, troubleshooting skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction.

The position is based in Miami, FL, managing a designated territory with possible travel to surrounding areas. The technician will work independently, collaborating with senior team members when needed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for Boston Scientific’s laser and light-based medical equipment.
  • Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers.
  • Resolve technical issues using defined troubleshooting techniques.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance, modifications, recalibrations, repairs.
  • Document all service activities accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Follow company SOPs and regulatory requirements to maintain quality and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic systems, analog and digital circuitry.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing complex medical equipment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% within the region.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have a service vehicle meeting insurance requirements.
  • Clean driving record and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, with 5+ years of troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience in medical or biomedical technical service.
  • Experience with lasers and optics is a plus.
  • Certification in Laser Technology or Optics is desirable.
  • Experience in hospitals or surgery centers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: $59,176 - $100,568
