Job summary

Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician II to commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Watlow products at customer sites. You will be the face of the company onsite, traveling to installations to restore uptime, perform programming, and capture feedback for product improvements.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, excellent communication, and frequent travel.

Qualifications

Technical certificate or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, controls, instrumentation, or related field.
Experience with electrical systems, controls, wiring, and power distribution fundamentals.
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, sensors, and basic networking (Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet I/P).
On-site troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using diagnostic tools (multimeter).
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

Commission and troubleshoot Watts heaters, sensors, controllers, power panels, and related systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and control integration issues in the field.
Perform maintenance, programming, and validation of thermal system installations.
Provide technical guidance and training to customer teams.
Respond to service calls and participate in on-call rotation to support uptime.
