Job summary

Qualus Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician I to test, maintain, and repair low and medium voltage equipment in shop and field settings. The role involves 50% overnight travel and interaction with clients on site.

You will perform Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, timing, and power transformer tests, perform mechanical repairs, wiring, and troubleshooting while reading schematics and curves. Strong English communication and safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–5 years related experience in commercial/industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing.
• NETA 2, 3, or 4 licensure preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on low and medium voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests.
• Complete mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including teardown and refurbishment.
• Wire circuit breakers and read schematics and wiring drawings.
• Troubleshoot circuit breaker controls and read time-current curves.
• Test transformers, including Power Factor and TTR, and document using Power DB.
• Work with electrical tools and socket sets in field and shop environments.
• Maintain accurate field records and safety documentation.
