Job summary

Valley Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled field service technician to diagnose, repair and overhaul equipment in customer locations. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical abilities, own hand tools, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate paperwork.

The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance, handle on-call duties, and ensure customer satisfaction on every site visit. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training/experience with Waukesha and Guascor gas engines required.
• Minimum 5 years of technical repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and overhauls product.
• Some shift work may be required.
• Available for on-call duty as scheduled by supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy duty diesel engines in field/shop.
• Ensure total customer satisfaction before leaving job-site.
• Estimate repair requirements and prepare data for repair quotes.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and engines.
• Coordinate scheduling of service calls and maintenance.
• Maintain records of all service activities.
• Regular attendance is essential.
