Job summary

Hobart Food Equipment and Service in Pleasanton, CA seeks a Service/Repair Technician 2 to provide on-site support for Hobart Service customers, installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial food equipment. The role includes on-call, after-hours, holiday, and weekend responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 2–4 years electrical/mechanical experience or HVACR EPA certification; HVACR certificates are acceptable; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years electrical and mechanical experience; or
• High school diploma or GED with HVACR service experience and EPA certification; or
• HVACR vocational certificate.

Responsibilities

• Install and service mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment on contract or T&M basis.
• Interpret schematic diagrams and follow service manuals.
• Document preventative maintenance and keep records.
• Follow Hobart Service safety manuals and procedures.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction and branch financial objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and services and manage assets.
