Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment in safe, efficient ways. You will work with a talented team across remote locations, developing skills toward a service or operations management career.

The role requires 3-5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a valid license, and willingness to work in dynamic environments. Sunbelt offers strong benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment in diverse locations.
• Support a safety-focused team and follow company policies.

Skills

Hydraulic systems troubleshooting
