As a Field Service Technician II, you will travel to customer sites and perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities on Trystar equipment. The Field Service Technician II will work directly with customers and installers in the field and provide various field service activities for Trystar’s offerings from commissioning, planned maintenance, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair.
In this role you will get to:
Serve as person-in-charge for high and low voltage maintenance, retrofit, and small-scale commissioning projects; support of large-scale commissioning jobs
Perform advanced troubleshooting and corrective maintenance independently
Execute electrical testing and diagnostics using appropriate equipment
Lead IR scanning, repairs, and inspection activities
Support larger commissioning efforts led by senior technicians
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Level 1 technicians
Interface directly with customers to resolve issues and communicate status
Document service work and provide technical feedback for continuous improvement
Train and mentor Level 1 technicians
Support of all other field activities
Scope and Autonomy:
Works independently on most assignments
Leads defined service jobs and tasks
Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
Ability to interpret complex schematics and specifications
Proficiency with electrical testing equipment
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
Must be a team player, willing to work with others in a fast-paced environment
This is a field-based role and requires regular travel to customer sites. Travel may include local, regional, national, and cross-border work depending on project requirements. Technicians must be willing and able to work on-site for extended periods, including rotational schedules, shutdowns, commissioning windows, emergency service calls, and remote project locations.
3–5+ years of field or industrial electrical experience
